GRACE (Grounding RRI Actions to Achieve Institutional Changes in European Research Funding and Performing Organisations) is a “Science with and for Society” H2020 funded project that supports the European Commission’s objective of spreading and embedding Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) in the European Research Area.
GRACE’s mission is to implement fundamental RRI-oriented institutional changes in six research performing and funding organisations (RFPOs). With an intense mutual learning programme and a co-creation environment, four expert partners (cooperating organisations) support six other partners in implementing a set of specific RRI-oriented Grounding Actions on diferent policy agendas (gender, ethics, open science, science education and governance). These actions provide a basis for developing tailored 8-year RRI Roadmaps within these organisations to ensure their sustainability and full implementation over the long-term, as well as establishing a platform for achieving further institutional changes.
The actions also includes further actions, both internal and external, of awareness, training and knowledge exchange, which will ensure that the institutional changes are sustainable beyond the scope of the project.
If you are interested in the methodology that we have used to develop our roadmaps or our RRI reflection tool to identify RRI Grounding actions, please contact us: firstname.lastname@example.org
